Training: Day 29

On the schedule: Rest day

My first real rest day! Go me.

I did walk my dogs. But let’s be real, that doesn’t really count as training.

I drove home today, so instead of running and whatnot, my morning was spent packing and loading my car and driving home. I’ll be here for a week, so that means no swimming this week, which kind of sucks, but I’ll fill that with an extra bike ride or something.

Also, I think I might be getting normal pedals for my bike. The fancy ones just really stress me out to the point where I honestly don’t really even enjoy biking… so I’m pretty sure I’m getting regular pedals this week. Which kind of feels like a big relief, honestly. I feel awful since we spent the money for the shoes/pedals, but… It stresses me out. I do like them, but I’m still getting used to riding a street bike. Once I get more comfortable riding, I’ll still have the pedals, so I can get them changed back any time.

So that’s happening soon.

I have a bike ride tomorrow… so, uh, we’ll see how that goes, hah.
